About Dr. Wang
Dr. Hong Wang was born and raised in China before moving to the United States for graduate school. She settled in Houston and has lived here for over 15 years. Dr. Wang now considers Houston her hometown in the United States.
The Professional Side
Dr. Hong Wang brings a unique perspective to dentistry, blending a passion for science, artistry and human connection. Before pursuing a career in dentistry, she earned a PhD in Environmental Engineering from the University of Missouri Science and Technology. After working as an environmental engineer for three years, Dr. Wang found her true passion for serving people and making a direct impact on their lives. She then attended the University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston and earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. In her own words, “Dentistry combines my love for working closely with people and love of working with hands as an engineer.”
After dental school, Dr. Wang continued her education at the Academy of Gp Orthodontics, further refining her expertise in braces and clear aligners. She also has advanced training in restorative and implant dentistry, allowing her to provide comprehensive care tailored to each patient’s needs.
The Personal Side
Outside of work, Dr. Wang enjoys traveling with her family and attending her kids’ activities and sports events. On weekends, she loves to play badminton, cheer on the Astros and explore the Houston food scene.
